About
Neele Verhees is a Textile Designer based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Graduated from the Royal Academy of arts, in The Hague.
Her work is driven by an instinctive connection to the earth, exploring the raw and layers relationship between material, intention and time.
using locally sourced materials she engages in rhythmic acts of mapping and repurposing embracing decay as a natural process of transformation.
Her practice is both rigid and autonomous, yet deeply rooted in organic textures of soil and the cyclical nature of life.
Through earthy tactile forms she explores the dialogue between nature and human intervention as a means of seeking headspace and mental clarity, while reflecting on cycles of healing, resilience and introspection.
